What is the best item to high alch in OSRS?

The answer changes with player prices and volume. Start with the highest stable profit that has a recent trade, believable latest-to-average price gap, useful volume, and a GE limit large enough for your session.

Why not rank every item by its latest profit?

One old or unusual trade can create a large theoretical margin that cannot be bought reliably. This page uses five-minute average prices when available and removes stale, volatile, and thin-volume results.

Are these guaranteed buy prices?

No. OSRS Wiki prices summarize successful player trades, while the Grand Exchange order book is hidden. Place a small test order and treat the displayed price as an estimate rather than a promise.

Does the profit include the nature rune?

Yes. Profit equals the fixed high-alch value minus the expected item buy price and one nature rune. Equip a fire staff to avoid purchasing the spell's five fire runes.
