Find OSRS high alch profits you can realistically buy

The largest displayed margin is not always the best high alch item. Price age, trading volume, Grand Exchange limits, and available cash determine whether an opportunity can support a real training session.

Use live prices without hiding uncertainty

Most Recent pricing reacts quickly to the latest successful low-side trade. Stable Pricing uses the five-minute average low price to reduce the influence of a single unusual trade. Freshness and market-confidence labels remain visible so missing or volatile data never looks certain.

Include every cost in the margin

Expected profit subtracts both the item's buy price and one nature rune from its fixed high-alch value. A fire staff removes the need to buy the five fire runes required by the spell.

profit = high alch value − buy price − nature rune

Plan around limits, liquidity, and cash

GE-limit profit shows the potential return from one four-hour buy limit. Volume filters help remove items that rarely trade, while the Alch Plan can allocate a cash stack across multiple items for a chosen session length and risk preference.

1

Start with Stable Pricing and hide stale or volatile results when planning a larger purchase.

2

Set minimum profit, ROI, volume, and GE limit values that match your cash stack and patience.

3

Open an item's 24-hour history before buying, then start your GE offer at the displayed Buy price.

OSRS high alch calculator FAQ

What is the best item to high alch in OSRS?

There is no permanent best item because player prices and available volume change continuously. A useful candidate has positive profit, a recent believable price, enough trading volume, and a GE limit large enough for your session. Sort the live table by profit, ROI, volume, or limit profit instead of relying on a static list.

How many high alchs can you cast per hour?

High Level Alchemy can be cast once every five game ticks, or about 1,200 casts and 78,000 Magic XP per hour when performed continuously. Buying items and banking can reduce the practical rate.

Can free-to-play players use this calculator?

Yes. Select the F2P filter preset to exclude members-only items. High Level Alchemy requires level 55 Magic, one nature rune, and five fire runes per cast; equipping a fire staff supplies the fire runes.

Where do the live OSRS prices come from?

Item mappings, current trades, five-minute averages, and on-demand history come from the community-maintained OSRS Wiki real-time prices API. The calculator caches requests and shows stale or missing states instead of silently substituting invented prices.
